When you're out on the court, it's so easy to start criticising yourself and your game. This can actually be really toxic and hurt your performance. But there's a simple 3-step process you can use to improve your mindset and get ready for the next point.
Think about how many times you've hit a double fault or an unforced error, and then instantly reacted in a negative way. After that, you just go straight into the next point, unable to let go of that last mistake. And then you end up making more mistakes and getting more and more frustrated.
It's time to make a mental change. After the point, take a moment to react, but do it away from your opponent. Reflect on what you could have done better, and then just hit the reset button and clear your head. This way, you can approach the next point with a fresh mindset.
Let me know how this approach works for you! I'm really curious to hear how it impacts your game.
