It is that time of year when competitive tennis begins for the 2026 season, and the JustPlay Leagues provide the ideal preparation for the club championships.

This competition offers players the opportunity to gain regular match practice against a wide range of opponents, including players they may not normally face. It is also an excellent way to meet new members and build stronger social connections within the club.

The leagues will run across the following categories: Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Ladies’ Doubles, and Ladies’ Singles. Each league will consist of up to six players or pairs, with everyone playing each other in a best-of-three-set format. If the match goes to a third set, it will be decided by a championship tie-break, with every game counting towards the standings.

At the halfway stage, all results will be totalled and the leagues will be restructured, with the top two players or pairs gaining promotion and the bottom two being relegated. This ensures competitive and balanced match-ups throughout the season.

At the end of May, the second-half winners will be announced. With increased match play and a higher level of competition, players will have the opportunity to develop their game and gain valuable experience in a competitive environment.
