TOP TIP: BE MORE READY!

🎾 The Ready Position

When you first start playing tennis, one of the most important positions you’ll learn is the ready position. This is the start and end of every shot cycle. If active and efficient can be a simple upgrade to your game.

A wide, low and stable stance gives you a strong base to move from. Your next movement is often determined by the quality of this starting position. A wider stance encourages a stronger first step, helping you approach the ball positively and drive through your shot using your biggest power source—your legs.

A good ready position also helps you react faster, move more dynamically and cover the court more efficiently. Tactically, it prepares you to handle harder shots and faster rallies.

Give it a try: lower your waist, bend your knees, widen your stance and stay balanced as you wait to receive the ball.

Let me know how it improves your game!
